Central Ottawa includes most of Downtown Ottawa including the Parliament Buildings. From the Rideau River this neighbourhood stretches across Downtown, Centretown & the Golden Triangle, Glebe, Sandy Hill, Old Ottawa East & South, as well as Byward Market/Lowerton.
This neighbourhood is home to many public sector workers due to its proximity to government buildings including Parliament Hill.
Here you will also find Carleton University & Saint Paul University, making it an ideal area for many UOttawa students & staff.
